You can also drag the assemblies containing the controls onto the toolbox.

This is a bug in the way our dlls are hard-referencing the WPFToolkit. We'll have this resolved for the first SP. In the meantime, you might want to try to put the 3.5.40128.1 dll ( available here ) in the same folder as the Input.dll and see if the toolbox will work. Worth a shot.

We see these package load failures from time to time. For the AJAX controls, you can just drop the dlls into the toolbox and they should populate. Toolbox support is not provided at this time for Silverlight controls.

When Visual Web Developer 2008 starts I get this errormessage: Package Load Failure Package ComponentArt.UIFramework.VSPackage.PackageToolbox, ComponentArt.UIFramework.VSPackage, Version=2009.12002.0, Culture=neutral I dont know what this really meens and there is a possibility to shutoff this message. I have reset the Toolbox and reinstalled "ComponentArt.UI.Framework.2009.2" I also try to "Choose Items" and both manually choose one component at a time wich doesn´t add any items...

In the QuickStart help for the various Silverlight components, you may want to remind users that when attempting to add the controls to the toolbox, they should select the "Silverlight Components" tab first. I'm sorry to admit I spent a bit of time banging my head against the wall before I realized I had the default ".NET Framework Components" tab selected ...
