VIDEO: Charting and Visualization for Silverlight

Posted Tue Nov 10, 2009 @ 9:58 AM

As you may know by now, late on Friday (or more precisely early on Saturday) we shipped a major release, UI Framework 2009.3, containing our brand-new suite of Silverlight Charting and Visualization controls.

We are quite proud of what we were able to achieve. We really pushed Silverlight 3 to its limits and I honestly don't know of any charting/visualization product (for any platform) that reaches this level of richness and 3D rendering quality. Obviously, having worked on this for the past year, we are a little biased, so please let us know **your** thoughts. :)

I created a quick 2-minute product video to show off the most important features:

The video is a nice overview of the functionality, but it doesn't do the product full justice when it comes to showing the rendering quality or the performance/movement. Please try the actual demos to get a better idea.

Are there any plans to release a WPF version of the Silverlight controls? In theory, it *should* be as simple as changing the references and re-compiling.

Yes, absolutely, we are working on a WPF version of our Silverlight suite. It's been announced for February 2010 on our product roadmap page.
